KOREA PRODUCTS SHOW & BUSINESS MEETING 2007

The Korea Products Show & Business Meeting 2007 is organised by the Gyeonggi Provincial Government and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency Kuala Lumpur (KOTRA). This event, held previously in 2003 and 2005, is organised for the sole purpose of promoting stronger business ties between Korean and Malaysian business community, and will feature wide categories of Korean products such as home and personal appliances; electrical and electronic products; medical and health products; machines tools; auto parts; chemical products; and IT and security products. Over 40 companies have been chosen to represent Gyeonggi Province in South Korea to exhibit and conduct business talks with potential Malaysian business partners in this exhibition and business meeting.
The event will be officiated by Deputy Minister of the Ministry of International Trade & Industry, YB Dato' Ahmad Husni Hanadzlah.

The Assistant Governor of Gyeonggi Province, Economic & Investment Office - Mr Jeon Tai Heon; Korean Ambassador to Malaysia - Mr Son Sang Ha; Deputy Director General II of Malaysia Industrial Development Authority - Puan Jalilah Baba; CEO of Selangor State Investment Centre - Dato' Mohd Jabar Ahmad Kembali; and Deputy CEO of MATRADE - Encik Mohamad Kamarudin Hasan are all expected to attend.

Gyeonggi Province, located in the mid-western region of Korea, is the focus of Korea's economy, making up 45% of the nation's information telecommunication equipment, 25% of the automobile industry, and 49% of the biotechnology industry. It has a total of 10.7 million residents; representing 21.8% of Korea's total population. The province's exports and imports is valued at 20% of Korea's international trade. Gyeonggi Province is also the home to international companies such as Samsung, LG Electronics, Hyundai Motors and 37,000 small to medium-sized international companies.

The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) is a non-profit organisation with 105 branches overseas in 74 countries worldwide.
