MCMC FUNDS RM1M FOR BREAKTHROUGH CONTENT

Multimedia University (MMU) is proud to announce that it will be exchanging a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) at:
Day/Date : Friday 27 July 2012
Time : 2:30 p.m.
Venue : CCU Presentation Room, Ground Floor, Chancellery Building,
Multimedia University, Cyberjaya
This exchange of MoU with MCMC will seal a pilot project that would lead to the development of breakthrough creative content by Malaysians.
The pilot project involves providing a grant worth RM1 million to MMU through the MCMC Grant for Innovative & Creative Contents & Applications (MaGICCA). Through this pilot project, selected undergraduate and postgraduate students of MMU would receive funding to develop content with high commercialization value, such as animations and applications.
Needless to say, this project will have a great future impact on the nation’s creative and communication industries.
MCMC will be represented by its Chairman, YBhg. Dato’ Mohamed Sharil Tarmizi, while MMU will be represented by its Chairman, YBhg. Datuk Dr. Halim Shafie.
The MoU exchange ceremony will be followed by a visit to MMU’s Digital Home Lab.
