AWARDS CEREMONY FOR MYSENI 2014 PAINTING COMPETITION BY UCSI UNIVERSITY'S INSTITUTE OF CREATIVE ARTS AND DESIGN (ICAD)

UCSI University’s De Institute of Creative Arts & Design (ICAD) is organising the Awards Ceremony for the recently concluded mySENI 2014 Painting Competition. The Awards Ceremony will be held on 30 August 2014 (Saturday) at the KL City Gallery and will be officiated by Datuk Seri Hj. Ahmad Phesal bin Hj. Talib, the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur.
Other notable names who will attend this Awards Ceremony include Professor Dato’ Dr Ahmad Zainuddin, Director, ICAD and Chairman, Malaysia Design Council (under the purview of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation Malaysia) and Dato’ Peter Ng, Founder and Chairman, UCSI Group.
The Awards Ceremony will see the top three winners receive ICAD bursaries worth RM5, 000 each, in addition to certificates and cash prizes of RM1,000, RM500 and RM 300, respectively. Seven consolation prizes of RM100 and certificates will also be awarded. Additionally, participants are given the opportunity to be among the first to apply for 10 UCSI University Trust Scholarships, worth up to RM400, 000 in total, for several ICAD programmes. These are, BCA (Hons) 3D Animation Design, BA (Hons) Fashion Design with Marketing, Diploma in 3D Animation Design, Diploma in Fashion Design and Diploma in Graphic Design.
The mySENI 2014 Painting Competition was opened to all Malaysian secondary school students between the ages 14 and 18. Themed “Malaysian Landscape”, the Competition aims to identify, recognise and encourage young Malaysian talents in the field of visual arts. 40 selected paintings will also be exhibited in the KL City Gallery from 30 August – 30 September 2014.
