INNOVATE MALAYSIA DESIGN COMPETITON 2016 - CONFERENCE AND GRAND FINALE

Innovate Malaysia is a multi-discipline engineering design competition open to all final-year undergraduate engineering and computer science students in Malaysia that was first introduced in 2010, with the objectives of promoting innovation, improving knowledge and skill and cultivating engineering design amongst undergraduates, Organized by Altera, CEDEC, Intel, Keysight Technologies, MathWorks, Microsoft, National Instruments, SilTerra, Motorola Solutions and Vitrox it is supported by TalentCorp and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) and managed by Dream Catcher Consulting Sdn Bhd.
More than 400 students from nearly 30 tertiary education institutions participated in this competition and the finalists were down to five teams competing in each of the nine platforms available. This is a two-day event comprising a conference and a grand finale.
Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) is the university host of the conference where the finalists will present their papers on their submissions and it will be officiated by Deputy Minister of Science, Technology & Innovation, YB. Datuk Dr. Abu Bakar Bin Mohamad Diah. Then on the second day is when the big reveal of the winners will be announced and the closing ceremony speech by Chief Operating Officer MDEC, Dato Ng Wan Peng.
This event will be attended by approximately 400 pax per day and they would comprise third and final year undergraduates, academic staff, government officials and industry leaders – and they are all by invitation only.
