INVITATION TO 2020: AN ARRIVAL & KAKAK THEATRICAL SCREENING

MyCreative Ventures Sdn. Bhd. (“MyCreative”) is pleased to invite members of the media to the screening of theatrical performances featuring winners of Theatrix 2016 at Kuala Lumpur Performing Art Centre (klpac). The two winners of Theatrix 2016, Toccata Studio and PITaPAT Theatre, will be staging their performances, namely “2020: An Arrival” and “Kakak” respectively.
2020, by Toccata studio is a multidisciplinary dance performance that is speculative in nature: utilising accessible science fiction concepts such as relativity of time and multiverse theory, 2020 tells a story of traveling within the currents of time. This piece is not simply a reflection, perhaps even prediction, of the future, but as a call to action.
KAKAK by PITaPAT Theatre, tells the story of two servants and their mistress. When the oppression towards the servants grows into an extreme, Claire and Soo Lan have a plan, they want to murder their mistress. And this story is about how they are going to murder her, but not how she is being murdered......

Note: Public screening is available at 3pm, 19 March 2017 (Sunday). As seats are limited, members of the public are encouraged to make early reservation by emailing us at theatrix@mycreative.com.my.
