"WHY RELIGION MATTERS" PUBLIC LECTURE & CD LAUNCH

In conjunction with its 25th anniversary, the Institute of Islamic Understanding Malaysia (IKIM) in collaboration with Embara is pleased to host a Public Lecture on "Why Religion Matters" by Dr. Umar Faruq Abd-Allah as well as a CD Launch Ceremony.

Background
It is often said that religion is the cause of hate, division and abuse; certainly a lot of recent wars are attributed to religious conflicts. But what do we really know of religion? What is its origin? Who were the people who lived in the Golden Age? And why is religion even more important today than ever before? This lecture will explore the origins of man and his relationship with God.
