TESCO TO BRING CHEER TO UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN THIS RAMADHAN
Friday 12/05/2017
Every day, hundreds of school children in the country face challenges just getting to school, impacting on their ability to excel in their studies. Many come from families that struggle to make ends meet, let alone provide their children with the necessities for school. These children deserve better, which is why last November TESCO Malaysia adopted 59 underserved schools in the communities it serves under the Government’s PINTAR programme.
In line with its goal to help these children and to provide cheer for the upcoming festive celebrations, TESCO will be launching its DANA BULAN BERMAKNA campaign for Ramadhan. The campaign will see TESCO contribute 0.5% of the sales of selected TESCO branded products to a fund which will benefit underprivileged children from its adopted schools.
The campaign will be launched by TESCO Malaysia CEO, Mr. Paul Ritchie, together with Encik Sabri Ab Rahman, Member of the Board of Trustee, PINTAR Foundation.
