MEMORANDUM (MOU) BETWEEN CREST, UK AND MALAYSIA CREST CHAPTER

Thursday 13/07/2017

We are delighted to invite members of the media to join us at the signing of a memorandum between CREST, UK and the Malaysia CREST Chapter, in conjunction with our Global Discourse on Cyber Landscape in the Malaysian Financial Industry, a thought-leadership event organised by the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers. There will be a press conference following the signing ceremony.

In line with the escalating intensity of cyber attacks and the need for service providers to strengthen the standard and rigorousness of penetration testing, Bank Negara Malaysia, in line with global practices, has mandated financial institutions to engage an external party to conduct penetration testing. Therefore this MoU will mark a key milestone in the Malaysian IT security industry as this collaboration will pave the way forward for industry to provide greater assurance to clients on the quality of services rendered by CREST certified provided and penetration testers, benchmarked against international standards.
