LATIN AMERICAN BUSINESS DAY 2017 (LATAM DAY)

We are pleased to invite members of the media to the inaugural Latin American Business Day 2017 (LATAM Day) to be held as follows:

Latin American Business Day is spearheaded by Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI) and organised by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) with the support of 10 Latin American embassies in Kuala Lumpur (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela).
The event is aimed at strengthening trade and investment between Malaysian and Latin America and will be attended by YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Minister of International Trade and Industry and the Ambassadors from the 10 Latin American embassies. Among the sectors to be highlighted at the event include aerospace, automotive, electrical & electronics, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Programme for the press conference is as follows:
11.00 am : Media to be ushered to Seminar Room 1 for the Press Conference
11.10 am : Arrival of YB Minister of MITI and Ambassadors of Latin American countries
11.20 am : Food Tasting of Latin American Cuisines (photo op)
11.30 am : Press Conference starts
12.30 pm : Event ends, media to enjoy lunch at the foyer
