MEDIA INVITATION THE LAUNCH OF MGAC 2017 GLOBAL FINALS 1 AUGUST 2017

It is with great pleasure we invite you to the launch of the Maybank GO Ahead. Challenge (MGAC) 2017 Global Finals as 60 talents from around the world compete for the top spot in this annual competition. The event will be officiated by Nora Abd Manaf, Group Chief Human Capital Officer of Maybank and Board Member of Etiqa Insurance Berhad.
The finalists will compete for a total cash prize of USD71,000. They also stand a chance to join Maybank's award-winning Global Maybank Apprentice Programme, as Maybank Apprentice. The Ultimate GO Ahead. Challenger (individual winner) will be awarded with USD1,000 and a two-week internship experience at any Maybank office worldwide.
Spanning over seven months, the road to the Global Finals involved the Campus and National Levels. A total of 25 Campus Levels were held in countries where Maybank has presence namely Hong Kong, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Singapore, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia.
MGAC is the first student competition in the region that tests participants in both financial and non-financial disciplines, challenging beyond their academic excellence. They undergo various selection rounds, with each round increasing in its complexity in the cases and activities. More than just a student competition, MGAC provides participants with the journey to deeper insights and expectations of global and regional organisations, in recruiting and nurturing talent for sustainability and growth of businesses.
The launch event will also marks the flag off of their first activity as part of Global Finals - an exhilirating race ala Amazing Race across Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
