Malaysian Watercolour Society (MWS) together with Malaysian Watercolour Space (MWSpace) is pleased to invite the media, public and art friends to attend the talk “2018 and Beyond:" the first of its kind, with a focus on the value of investing in paintings and Malaysian Art as an investing asset class.
Our eminent speakers, in particular Mr. Lim Chee Sing with extensive experience and insights of Malaysian market, will share what the economic outlook would be in the coming years, what are the emerging trends that will impact and benefit us in Malaysia. Mr. Loh Kong Yaw, an internationally known curator in contemporary Watercolour art with extensive exposure in Europe and North Asia, will enlighten the audience on the potential of Malaysia’ art industry, in comparison to the regional market and the prospect of Malaysian artists going global.
Supporting this mission, we are pleased to have Mr. Mikhail Raj, the former Bernama Business Editor as our panel member to provide us guidance and insights on what to focus on, in order to make Malaysia a rising star in the social media and e-commerce economy.
Dato’ Dr. Lee Chee Kuon, organizing chairman of this investment talk series hosted by MWS and MWSpace, is working on achieving our objective of providing public education and market understanding of Art and Watercolour Painting, in which many of the multimedia and creativity are derived from. This is to prepare Malaysians for the new era of e-commence and social media that the global market is now embracing.
