INVITATION TO THE SOFTWARE PROGRAMMING INNOVATION COMPETITION (PROCOM) 2018

It is with great pleasure that we are extending this media invitation to the "SOFTWARE PROGRAMMING INNOVATION COMPETITION (PROCOM) 2018" opening ceremony, on 2 August 2018, 9.00am at MIGHT, Cyberjaya.
PROCOM 2018 will be held on 2-3 August 2018 at MIGHT, Cyberjaya. It is organized by Chinese Weekly, co-organized by Multimedia University (MMU) & Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) and supported by Malaysia Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) & Nourishment Association for Programming Contest KOSEN (NAPROCK, Japan). PROCOM 2018 is sponsored by Silverlake Axis, Epson Malaysia and Walta Group.
The aims of PROCOM are to create an environment conducive to nurture innovative young generation and to promote exchange between Malaysia-Japan students.
Chinese Weekly are honored to be the first overseas organization entrusted by NAPROCK from Japan to organize a software programming competition in Malaysia based on Japan Technical College Programming Contest (KOSEN PROCON) module.
PROCOM opens to all students from public and private higher learning institutes in Malaysia. Participation need to be in a group with max 3 persons. All group of participants are required to develop an executable software on computers or tablets based on own theme and innovative ideas but not to violate intellectual property rights of any party.
The first prize winning team of PROCOM is eligible to represent Malaysia to participate in the Original Section of the KOSEN PROCON on 27- 28 October 2018 at Tokushima City, Japan.
The KOSEN PROCON event in Japan has been organized by NAPROCK and Technical College Association annually since 1990. Participants are from 57 Japan technical colleges and the purpose of the event is to create motivation of learning. It’s a proven effective method to nurture innovative talents for the industry in Japan for several decades.
