MEDIA INVITATION TO THE LAUNCH OF THE 5TH #MYCYBERSALE 2018 MALAYSIA'S BIGGEST ONLINE SALE EVENT

Greetings from the National ICT Association of Malaysia (PIKOM).
Malaysia's favourite online sale event, #MYCYBERSALE 2018, is back again for the fifth year in a row, from September 3rd to 7th, 2018. The event which began in 2014 has grown by leaps and bounds in terms of the number of registered merchants and gross merchandise value (GMV). Shoppers in Malaysia and overseas will be in for a treat as more than 1,200 merchants in over 20 retail categories will offer incredible promotions and deals during the five-day event.
PIKOM, as the organiser of this national initiative, is pleased to announce that Deputy Minister of Communications and Multimedia, YANG BERHORMAT EDDIN SYAZLEE SHITH will launch the 5th #MYCYBERSALE 2018 on Tuesday, August 28th 2018 at 10.15am at Ballroom 3, Level 1, Sime Darby Convention Centre, 1A, Jalan Bukit Kiara 1, Bukit Kiara, 60000 Kuala Lumpur.
PIKOM Chairman Ganesh Kumar Bangah and MDEC Director of eCommerce, Mr. Song Hock Koon will be present at the event.
Also, in attendance are representatives from 18 corporate partners and sponsors of #MYCYBERSALE 2018 namely Pinnacle Partners Commerce.Asia, Fusionex, Mastercard and Lazada; Premier Partners Mobiversa, SAP Malaysia, Shippop, Shopback, CapFiX and y5zone Malaysia; Gold Partners iPay88 and Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) and Silver Partners SF Express, eGHL, GDex, LWE, World First and City-Link Express.
PIKOM Chairman Ganesh Kumar Bangah will share an overview of the #MYCYBERSALE online sale event, its performance in the past years and targets for 2018 as well as the growth and outlook of the e-Commerce sector in Malaysia and in the region.
