LAUNCHING OF "MATA" - EYEWEAR FOR NOBLE CAUSE (30 OCTOBER 2018, DEWAN PERSADA, SME CORP MALAYSIA)

SME Corp. Malaysia together with Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia (YIM) proudly bring you the launching of eyewear product branded as "MATA". Development of MATA was assisted through the High Impact Programme 6: Inclusive Innovation (HIP 6) under the SME Masterplan (2012 – 2020) and it was funded by SME Corp. Malaysia and managed by Yayasan Inovasi Malaysia (YIM). HIP 6 is all about fostering innovations that leads to affordable access of quality goods & services for the excluded population including the bottom 40% of households.
Founded in 2017, MATA is a social enterprise that aims to elevate and empower the blind and visually impaired community through its eyewear. MATA's sunglasses have been tested in different scenarios like under bright lighting and driving in everyday situations. Dubbed as the fashion brand with a noble cause, MATA champions the cause of the blind and visually impaired community. This product will be launched by Mr. Rizal Nainy, Deputy CEO I of SME Corp. Malaysia.
