MTDC ReUnites has been an annual event for Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) since the year 2010; fostering and providing a platform for productive working relationship and strategic networking amongst companies within its ecosystem. For the year 2018, MTDC will hold two series of ReUnites; starting with ReUnites I: Zero to Hundred (Accelerator), on 27-28 June 2018 at The Everly Putrajaya and ReUnites II: Industry 4.0/Robotic from 23-25 November 2018. About 150 participants will grab the opportunity to network with the technopreneurs and revisit the importance of collaboration and team dynamics in the journey towards achieving business success.

About MTDC

MTDC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional Berhad and has been a key player in commercialisation and management of government funding since the 7th Malaysia Plan.
The company was set-up in 1992 to promote the adoption of technologies by local companies via commercialisation of local R&D or acquisition of foreign technologies. Currently, MTDC manages five funds, specifically the Commercialisation of R&D Fund (CRDF), Technology Acquisition Fund (TAF), Halal Technology Development Fund (HTDF), Business Start-Up Fund (BSF) and Business Growth Fund (BGF).
Besides fund management, MTDC also established Technology Development Centers (TDCs) on university campuses. TDCs provided a physical location for companies to conduct research in close proximity to researchers and students in relevant technical fields. Specifically, TDCs provide office space, wet and dry labs, meeting and training rooms, lecture halls, and a vast array of amenities for joint interaction. To complement the TDCs, MTDC provides integrated support services for technopreneurs including advisory services such as mentoring, soft-landing, branding, fund raising, international collaboration and networking. MTDC’s commercialisation ecosystem has provided funding and assistance to over 500 technology-based companies that are involved in a wide range of activities ranging from agriculture to ICT.
In the 9th Malaysia Plan (9MP) and 10th Malaysia Plan (10MP) alone, companies that were recipients of MTDC’s CRDF and TAF generated a total of RM1.974 billion in sales, contributed towards the creation of 5,261 new jobs and filed a total of 465 Intellectual Property Rights.
