Halal concept is no longer seen as a religious obligation. Halal food products are in demand as it represents cleanliness, food safety and quality. The perception has revolutionized over time that many international food producers have shifted its food production to be Halal-compliant.
With the aspiration of creating greater trade and investment activities as well as wider market access opportunities for Halal producers, the Halal Industry Development Corporation (HDC) is striving to join forces with Arla Foods amba (Arla) and ARK Halal, towards the globalisation of Halal Malaysia.
Being among the largest producer of dairy products in the world, the implementation of Arla's Mandatory Standard - Halal Assurance System signifies Arla's commitment to the safety and security of the production of its Halal products.
