MOU SIGNING CEREMONY BETWEEN AIAC AND CIETAC AND AIAC-CIETAC-MCLCS JOINT SEMINAR AND INDUSTRY DIALOGUE - DRIVING FORCES BEHIND BELT AND ROAD INITIATIVE

On behalf of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), we are pleased to invite you to our MOU signing ceremony, joint seminar and industry dialogue - Driving Forces Behind Belt & Road Initiative.
Details of the event are as follows:

Venue: AIAC, Bangunan Sulaiman, Kuala Lumpur
The AIAC, China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), and Malaysia China Legal Cooperation Society (MCLCS) are organising joint seminar titled Driving Forces Behind Belt and Road Initiative. Also known as the "New Silk Road", the Belt and Road Initiative has garnered attention worldwide as an ambitious trade and investment plan across Asia, Europe and Africa. Spanning across 65 countries, there are significant opportunities in investment for both Malaysian and Chinese businesses. With over 100 bilateral treaties between China and countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, this industry dialogue aims to breakdown the legal barriers in seizing opportunities along the route and considers the role of arbitration to resolve disputes arising in the Belt and Road Initiative. AIAC and CIETAC will also sign an MOU during the event.
Key stakeholders that will be present at the Kuala Lumpur Roadshow include:

The highlights of the joint seminar and industry dialogue include:
-Keynote speeches from Director of the AIAC and Secretary General of CIETAC
-Panel discussion from CIETAC and AIAC speakers, titled The Role of Arbitration in the Belt and Road Initiative: Perspectives from China and Malaysia
-Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony between AIAC and CIETAC promote exchange and cooperation between the two parties in the area of trade and investment, law service and arbitration.
