Governance” refers to the exercising of economics, political/ social and administrative power to manage a country. All levels are involved, including corporations and other entities. It comprises the mechanisms, processes and institutions through which citizens and groups articulate their interests, exercise their legal rights, meet their obligations and mediate their differences.

The main objectives of this Colloquium are:

(i) To emulate the best practices in governing a country or organisations with justice;

(ii) To navigate the notion of good governance along diverse rights and conflicting interests;

(iii) To share experiences in critical decision-making and strategic implementation and

(iv) To recommend a framework of indices on good governance in Islam.
