DOCUMENTARY SCREENING: AL-JAZEERA INVESTIGATIONS IN "CRICKET'S MATCH FIXERS"

On behalf of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), we are pleased to invite you to our Documentary Screening: Al-Jazeera Investigations in “Cricket’s Match Fixers”.

Match fixing and corruption in sports remains a serious problem all around the world. Despite various high-profile crackdowns and career-ending suspensions, match-fixing cases remain prevalent, where in some instances it involves not only the athletes but the coaches and match officers as well, hurting the integrity and reputation of the sport.
In “Cricket’s Match Fixers”, Al-Jazeera’s Investigative Unit exposes the global scale of match-fixing in cricket. This undercover investigation reveals how criminal gangs bribe players and officials to fix matches and parts of matches – and make millions from betting on guaranteed outcomes.
Panel discussion featuring James Kitching to be followed after documentary viewing.
Admission to all attendees is FREE. Popcorns will be served. Light refreshment will be served at the networking cocktail after.
