AIAC STANDARD FORM OF BUILDING CONTRACTS 2019 ROADSHOWS

On behalf of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), we are pleased to invite the members of the media to our 2019 AIAC Standard Form of Building Contracts Roadshows in Sabah.
As part of our capacity building in the construction industry in Malaysia, the 2019 AIAC’s Standard Form of Building Contracts Roadshows (the “AIAC SFCs Roadshows”) will take place in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, and Johor. Attendees will hear from the AIAC SFC Expert Advisory Committee Members (the “Experts”) who are construction industry experts from all relevant stakeholders: such as lawyers, architects, engineers, and quantity surveyors. This year, the AIAC SFCs Roadshows will cover the AIAC’s suite of SFCs, which include the: Main Contract, Sub-Contract, Minor Works Contract, Design and Build Main Contract, and Design and Build Sub-Contract. Additionally, the Experts will explain the Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”) mechanisms contained in the SFCs and how they can be used, which include but not limited to adjudication under the Construction Industry Payment of the Adjudication Act 2012, and arbitration and mediation under the AIAC Rules 2018.
Admission to all attendees is FREE.
