GROUND-BREAKING CEREMONY OF AT&S' FIRST SOUTHEAST ASIA PLANT IN MALAYSIA

The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) would like to invite members of the media to witness the the Ground-breaking Ceremony of AT&S’ first Southeast Asia production plant in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, Malaysia in the presence of

Details of the event are as follows:
Day/Date : Saturday 30 October 2021
Media Registration Start Time: 8.45 am
Venue : AT&S Project Site, Kulim Hi-Tech Park, 09600 Kulim, Kedah
Briefly, AT&S’ new facility involves a proposed total investment of RM8.5 billion over the next few years and looks to create 5,000 high-tech and high-impact jobs. There are also plans for R&D partnerships and capacity development collaborations in the pipeline.
This event will allow you to share with your readers/viewers on the Government’s continuous efforts to attract and facilitate strategic, quality investment to further develop and grow Malaysia’s industrial landscape.
Taking into account the standard operating procedures to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 virus, kindly be informed that media representatives will have to be fully vaccinated and completed the 14-day (Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Sinovac) or 28-day (CanSino and Johnson& Johnson) window to be allowed access into the event. Contactless self-registration by scanning the MySejahtera QR Code and body temperature checks will be conducted at the entrance.
Additionally, media representatives are required to perform an antigen rapid test for Covid-19 and obtain a negative result before admission to the event. Please do produce a certificate showing a negative test result of the antigen rapid test performed within 24-hour before the event. A testing station will also be available for those who were unable to perform the test prior to coming for the event; however, media representatives are strongly advised to bring their certificate of negative antigen rapid test performed off site to avoid crowding or delays at the test station.
