Summary of the Topic:

According to Bursa Malaysia’s report, the Covid-19 pandemic has driven the concept of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) into the spotlight as companies worldwide realise the need to adopt more sustainable practices to avoid the risk of being financially impacted in the long run. In Malaysia’s case, there is growing acceptance and acknowledgment by industry leaders of the need for stronger ESG adoption. According to research, the green economy is a growing space that accounts for USD4 trillion (RM16.2 trillion) worth of market capitalisation. To discuss on this highly relevant and interesting topic, the Knowledge Sharing Session will cover among others:

a. ESG overview and trends;
b. The cost of ignoring ESG to Malaysia’s investment and competitiveness prospect;
c. What’s there for Malaysia in terms of climate change, carbon footprint, labour working
conditions, diversity, pay ratio etc;
d. ESG in business financing criteria

Please confirm your attendance latest by Saturday, 22 January 2022, 12.00 pm.
