BINA PURI CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD SECURED NEW PROJECT IN MABPAI, KOTA KINABALU, SABAH

The Construction And Completion Of The Proposed One Block Of 7-storey Apartment (30 Units) Cum Clubhouse Facilities And Associated Infrastructural Works
CONTRACT SUM: RM19.7 MILLION
We are pleased to announce that BINA PURI CONSTRUCTION SDN BHD, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd, has accepted the letter of award from Arkitek Oma Sdn Bhd for the construction and completion of the proposed one block of 7-storey apartment (30 units) cum clubhouse facilities and associated infrastructural works on C.L.16913 off Jalan Sukang, Mabpai, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (Taman Tiara – Phase 1).
The contract sum is RM19.7 million and the construction is expected to be completed within 18 months.
The Group’s current book order stands at RM2.39 billion. The Group have managed to secure new projects of up to RM 1.41 billion so far in 2009 and is continuously bidding for new project, both locally and internationally.
The above award has further strengthened BINA PURI’s presence in East Malaysia. Earlier on 12th October 2009, the Group had secured the Construction of 24 Units of 2-3 Storey Shop Offices in Alamesra, Kuala Menggatal, Sabah with contract sum of RM10.995 million. While on 3rd September 2009, the Group secured another project in East Malaysia, the construction of substructure works for part of the Kota Kinabalu City Waterfront (KKCW) Development, a joint venture project between DBKK Holdings Sdn Bhd and Sunsea Development Sdn Bhd with contract sum of RM36.76 million.
Bina Puri Construction Sdn. Bhd; the main construction arm of the Group is actively involved in a number of mega construction projects in East Malaysia and currently has a number of on-going projects in Sabah which includes the construction and completion of “Dewan Kuliah Pusat Ke-2” and “Pusat Pasca Siswazah for Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and a housing development at Sayang Buang, Papar.
Since our inception into Sabah in 15 July 1994, BINA PURI had completed projects valued about RM1.5 billion in Sabah which includes, the 38-km of Kota Kinabalu Sulaman Coastal Road, Institute Latihan Perindustrian Sabah, Wisma PERKESO, Road from Jalan Sipitang to Tenom and Jesselton Condominium just to name a few. Today, our East Malaysia Regional operations office is located in Alamesra, Coastal Road,
Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. While in Sarawak, BINA PURI completed the construction of New Dewan Undangan Negeri Complex in PetraJaya, Kuching, Sarawak.
As per our previous statements, the Group has been actively participating in tendering for projects both locally and overseas. The Group will make appropriate announcements on projects secured to keep investors and the public informed from time to time.
