  CIMB BANK LISTS CALL WARRANTS ON ASTRO SHARES

Useful Information On Warrants Also Available At Newly-revamped Portal

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 (Bernama) -- CIMB Bank today announced that it is listing two European-style call warrants over the ordinary shares Astro. The call warrants, coded as Astro-CI and Astro-CH, offers retail investors an opportunity to gain exposure to one of the largest and most successful Initial Public Offering (IPO) in the country this year.

With issue size of 50 million each, these warrants were structured to cater for investors with different investment outlook. Astro-CI has a higher gearing ratio of 10 times with an exercise price of RM4.00, while Astro-CH has a lower exercise price of RM3.50 and a lower gearing ratio of 6.67 times. Both warrants priced at 15 sen per warrant, will expire on 31 October 2013.

Through this channel, investors are able to access up-to-date news, trading statistics as well as an alert list of warrants that are close to expiration for their reference.”

Additionally, a daily-published Warrant Digest is made available for online viewing or to be downloaded at the portal. Investors can also choose to subscribe to it by signing up online. The portal also provides a direct link to CIMB iTrade, which allows investors to trade warrants online.

The portal also introduces a brand new education section, which provides useful information on structured warrants for new investors ” from how to choose and invest in warrants, to learning the key risk factors to consider when buying warrants. The portal can be accessed at www.warrants.cimbbank.com.my .
