CHICAGO, Jan 21 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- Prognos, an analytics company specializing in the retail and consumer package goods (CPG) sector, announced today that they have joined SAS’ Managed Analytic Services Provider (MASP) program. Prognos,
acquired by global analytics company Antuit earlier this year, specializes in providing financially measurable results to retail and CPG companies through advanced analytics solutions.
Prognos can now begin offering to clients subscription-based analytics solutions utilizing the SAS platform that can be quickly deployed while minimizing risk and reducing overhead associated with onsite implementations.
“We are excited to extend our ongoing relationship with SAS and to be one of the first partners to participate in the MASP program, as it is a validation of the success we have achieved to date,” said Sam Iosevich, Managing Principal at Prognos. “From demand planning to pricing and trade promotion modeling, we can now offer a deeper level of forecasting and predictive analytics that support our clients’ strategic and financial goals with little upfront cost and risk.”
Prognos can now integrate a subscription form of the SAS analytics platform into its offerings, enabling clients of any size to have access to the same type of analytics as some of the company’s largest global enterprise clients. Through MASP, Prognos can provide companies with more limited resources the ability to achieve improved performance in forecasting for merchandise planning, fulfillment and workforce management – all in a matter of weeks.
“Prognos’ successful track record and blue chip client roster makes the company a natural fit for MASP,” said Heath Clayton, SAS Global Market and Channel Development. “We are confident their clients will almost immediately begin to reap the benefits of market-leading SAS analytics solutions.”
SAS developed their MASP program to meet the rapidly growing market demand for Cloud-based analytical solutions that are preferred by almost a fourth of today’s enterprise clients. The program enables companies like Prognos, that have specific domain knowledge, to offer a pay-as-you-go hosted solution on the broadest and most advanced analytical platform in the market.
“Prognos has an established history of delivering analytics driven, business-impacting results for retail and CPG companies,” said Arijit Sengupta, CEO of Antuit. “Prognos’ membership in the SAS MASP program will accelerate the time to deliver predictive solutions and help our combined clients achieve outcomes that have a direct positive impact on business performance.”
