CHIBA, Japan, Mar. 2, 2016 /Kyodo JBN-AsiaNet/ -- Applications for the "Chiba Aqualine Marathon 2016" to be held on Oct. 23 will be accepted from Tuesday, April 5. The event will take place on the Tokyo Bay Aqualine Expressway connecting the eastern and western sides of the Tokyo Bay. The highlight of the marathon is the panoramic view of the sea and sky from the bridge as well as a large number of spectators expected to line up along the course, while local gourmet items and souvenirs of Chiba Prefecture will be also enjoyed at event areas.
The international division, in which non-Japanese nationals can participate on a first-come first-served basis, is also available. Applications will be accepted online from April 5 to 26, 2016.

(2) Application period:
Tuesday, April 5, at 12:00 p.m. - Tuesday, April 26, at 5:00 p.m. (Japan time)
(3) International division (150 participants): Applicants of on-Japanese nationality are accepted on a first-come, first-served bases.
(4) Accommodation plan (1,000 participants): Includes a hotel and guaranteed entry to the marathon/half-marathon. *Details will be released when confirmed.
