KUALA LUMPUR, April 11 (Bernama) -- Eastspring Investments (“Eastspring”), the US$131 billion Asian investment management arm of Prudential plc, and one of Asia’s largest investment managers, announced today that Mr Raymond Tang has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Eastspring Investments Berhad Malaysia. Mr Tang is an industry veteran, having had a successful career leading investment and distribution functions for major asset managers in Malaysia.
 
In this role, Mr Tang will be responsible for growing Eastspring’s business in Malaysia and further developing relationships with its clients.
 
With almost 30 years of industry experience, Mr Tang joins Eastspring from CIMB-Principal Asset Management Berhad, where he held a variety of senior roles including Head of International and Institutional Business and Chief Investment Officer, ASEAN Region. Previously, he was the Chief Investment Officer at CMS Dresdner Asset Management.
 
Mr Tang is currently the Chairman of the Malaysian Association of Asset Managers as well as the Chairman of the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Index Advisory Committee.  In addition, he is a Founding Director of the Securities Industry Dispute Resolution Center.
