CTS ENGINES NAMED 2015 BOEING "SUPPLIER OF THE YEAR"

Wednesday 04/05/2016

Award given to less than 0.1 percent of all Boeing suppliers

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 4 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- CTS Engines, the global leader for mature engine maintenance services, announced today that it had been named the 2015 Boeing “Supplier of the Year” in the Support & Services category for its CF6 engine overhaul support of the U.S Air Force’s E-4B fleet.

“We are thrilled beyond words to receive this award on such a high profile contract customer,” said Brian Neff, CTS’s Chief Executive Officer. “All of us at CTS recognize the profound significance of this award from Boeing and the critical importance of the underlying mission of the customer. It is a great honor to receive this award, and a recognition of CTS’s outstanding value proposition in the mature engine market.”

CTS Engines was one of 12 companies to receive one of the annual awards. In 2015, Boeing spent $62 billion with more than 13,000 suppliers from 47 countries. Supplier-provided components and assemblies make up 65 percent of the cost of Boeing products.

Based in Ft. Lauderdale, CTS Engines is the worldwide leader in mature engine maintenance, performing engine overhauls on the CF6-50, CF6-80A, CF6-80C, and PW2000 engine models at its 70,000 square foot Ft. Lauderdale MRO facilities. At its 155,000 lbf test stand in Jupiter, Fla., the company also performs mature engine return to service tests, as well as OEM developmental tests for new engine platforms.
