SINGAPORE, May 12 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- A.M. Best announces the appointment of Scott Ryrie as commercial director, Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, Scott’s primary responsibilities will be developing and implementing strategic commercial initiatives to reinforce and enhance A.M. Best’s business activities across Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
 
Mr. Ryrie will join A.M. Best on 16 May and will report to Mr. Jose Ribeiro, managing director, Asia Pacific.
 
With a career extending over more than 30 years, Scott has in-depth insurance-sector experience throughout Southeast Asia and Australasia. This experience has been acquired in roles spanning underwriting, broking, business development and general management, and includes positions at Guy Carpenter as managing director and vice chairman, Asia Pacific, Allianz Re (as regional chief executive officer) and XL Re.
