BNM also touched on the Phased Liberalisation of Motor and Fire Tariffs to the Committee and stated that the liberalisation roadmap is guided by three key thrusts which are promoting efficiency and healthy competition to enhance consumers’ experience, creating a responsive industry that meets consumers’ needs and preferences, and preserving safety and soundness of the industry that would deliver better service and value to consumers.
