TOKYO, July 5 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- July 5th 2016, C-Connect, the retail e-commerce company selling printer inks and sanitary napkins, has launched “Ippin” - the Online Shopping Mall specialized in direct sales and distribution from Japan to foreign countries.

“Ippin” not only sells “Made in Japan” products but also high–quality “Produced by Japan” and “Popular in Japan” items, enabling customers to purchase directly from 18 regions and countries. We mainly target China and South-east Asian countries rapidly growing in e-commerce market as a start, selling popular “Japan-quality” items in categories such as foods, fashion items, cosmetics, kids & baby items, electric appliances.

We have independent websites for each country such as China, Singapore and Malaysia with optimized recommended item rankings and payment methods to create user-friendly service.

As of July 1st 2016, we have 7 stores on “Ippin.” We expect to reach 20 stores by the end-July, and 200 at the end-December 2016.

We have 18 countries and regions available for shipping, 16 currencies available as well as providing a variety of payment methods including credit cards, Alipay and Paypal to localize the service:

The website will be displayed in 3 languages (English, Chinese and Japanese). Following the expansion of countries, we will be introducing other languages such as Thai, Indonesian etc.

Currently, the website is designed for a smartphone (viewable in PC). PC version will be launched soon, but considering the handiness for consumers’ shopping experience, our focus will be on high usability on the smartphone.

The lack of payment options and slow loading speeds have been an issue for many Japanese e-commerce websites pursuing Asian markets. Ippin resolves that by expanding payment options and distributing servers. Our bigger challenge is the question of translation. I have been learning Chinese because I believe we must speak the language of our customers in order to understand their needs. Our future task will be to work with the shops on Ippin to make “Japan Quality” products more accessible to customers around the world.
