Hertz has launched the full featured Hertz Gold Plus Rewards(R) loyalty program to residents of China, Japan, Singapore and South Korea. New and existing program members from these four markets can now earn and redeem Gold Plus Rewards Points in participating countries, and have the opportunity to access the Five Star(R) and President's Circle(R) premium tiers.
 
Free to join, Hertz Gold Plus Rewards is an award-winning loyalty program that allows members to earn points and redeem them for Reward Rental Days. Additionally, membership benefits include fast pick-up and drop-off of their booked car, free additional drivers, members only discounts, access to exclusive promotions and service information. To celebrate the launch, Hertz is offering its Gold Plus Rewards members residing in China, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and selected European countries up to 550 bonus points when booking their Hertz rental. In order to receive the bonus points, members need to book their vehicle by September 30th, 2016 and complete the rental by December 31st, 2016. About Gold Plus Rewards points and Five Star and President's Circle tiers:
 
Gold Plus Rewards points: 
Members can earn one point for every U.S. dollar or its equivalent spent on rentals and select optional service charges. Points can be redeemed for a day, a week or a weekend rental towards a selection of cars. Participating countries for points redemption include Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, U.K. and the U.S. Points do not expire as long as member has any Hertz Gold Plus Rewards program activity in the prior 24 months.
 
Five Star:
This status is obtained through seven qualifying Hertz Gold Plus Rewards rentals, or US$1,500 spend in a 12-month period. Five Star customers will receive complimentary one-vehicle-class upgrade with every rental (subject to availability), 10% bonus points on all Hertz rentals (1.10 points per dollar spent), and 900 points after every 10 qualifying rentals. Customers will also receive e-mail offers on special promotions, discounts, service information, prize draws plus all other perks of the Gold Plus Rewards program.
 
President's Circle:
This status is obtained through 20 qualifying Hertz Gold Plus Rewards rentals, or US$4,000 spend in a 12-month period. President’s Circle customers will receive a guaranteed one-vehicle-class upgrade with every rental, 25% bonus points on all Hertz rentals (1.25 points per dollar spent), and 900 points after every 10 qualifying rentals. Customers will also receive e-mail offers on special promotions, discounts, service information, prize draws plus the perks of the Gold Plus Rewards program.
