ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill., Sept 9 (Bernama-
BUSINESS WIRE) -- Global IT and cybersecurity association ISACA will host the first-ever
CSX 2016 Asia Pacific conference in Singapore, 14-16 November 2016. ISACA developed
Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX) to help organizations build qualified cybersecurity workforces and help individuals advance their cyber careers. As part of CSX, ISACA introduced the conference in North America last year to a sold-out audience and expanded to Asia and Europe this year.
CSX Asia Pacific features renowned keynote speakers, including:
CSX 2016 Asia Pacific will focus on practical cybersecurity solutions and guidance and will allow attendees to explore trends and threats, exchange insights, and learn how to excel at defending their enterprises. Sessions are offered in four tracks and with two levels of complexity.
Recent research shows that cybersecurity is a high priority in Singapore. Although
Singapore’s
Cyber Security Agency (CSA) is focused on strengthening cybersecurity readiness for its critical infrastructure and key industry sectors, the adversaries are focused squarely on perpetuating attacks. According to a recent report by Mandiant, Asian companies are 80 percent more likely to be targeted by hackers than companies in other parts of the world. The global lack of skilled cybersecurity professionals adds to the challenge.
“Cyberattacks have emerged as a top technology risk, and at the eye of the storm is the critical need for highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals,” said Leonard Ong, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT,
Board Director of ISACA and associate director at Merck. “Through CSX, which includes conferences like CSX Asia Pacific, ISACA is working to develop a global talent pool of cybersecurity practitioners and leaders, and help organizations create a robust cyber workforce to protect and defend in the ongoing battle against cyberthreats.”
CSX 2016 Asia Pacific will also feature the new CSX Cyber Challenge, an innovative online competition that will test participants’ cybersecurity skills in areas such as ethical hacking, computer network defense and computer forensics. A special networking event in ISACA’s Connecting Women Leaders in Technology program will also be offered.
Registration for CSX Asia Pacific is at
