KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 30 (Bernama) -- JICA in collaboration with SW Corp has organised the ‘Seminar on The Improvement of Solid Waste Management in Fraser’s Hill’ on 27 October, 2016 at the KPKT Training Centre, Bukit Tinggi, Pahang.

About 100 representatives from various government agencies, universities, organisations and companies have participated in the said seminar.

This seminar aimed to share the overall activity report & outcome of the Project including waste composition analysis, composting of food waste recycling, proposal for safe landfill as well as improvement of waste collection, reduction & recycling system in Fraser’s Hill.

The seminar has served as an important platform for all related stakeholders from both public & private sectors to gain better understanding on the existing practice & future direction of the solid waste management in Fraser’s Hill, encourage dialogues & collaboration among respective players and lead to a step forward for establishment of an effective & sustainable solid waste management in Malaysia.
