PUTRAJAYA, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- The Minister of Foreign Affairs, YB Dato’ Sri Anifah Hj. Aman, signed the condolence book for the late Fidel Castro, former President of Cuba, at the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Kuala Lumpur.
 
Fidel Castro, 90, passed away on 25 November 2016 following deteriorating health conditions for the past few years. He led the Republic of Cuba for 47, years until 2006.
 
Bilateral ties between Malaysia and Cuba continue to strengthen since the establishment of diplomatic relations on 6 February 1975. Both countries cooperate closely at the international fora through the United Nations (UN), Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC).
