The Chiba Prefectural Government has appointed foreign students and residents living in the prefecture as "CHI-BA+KUN Ambassadors" since 2011 to offer the charms of Chiba to the rest of the world in association with the prefecture's mascot character CHI-BA+KUN. Awards were given in honor of activities reported by the ambassadors. Yu Chi Hsuan of Taiwan received the highest award for writing her articles. Rendy of Indonesia and Le Thi Truc Quynh of Vietnam also received the excellence award each for writing their articles.
