Online education portal leads the way for workforce upskilling
 
 
KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama) -- JobStreet Education, an online education portal for working adults, announced its first anniversary this month. Since launching in May 2016, JobStreet Education is now partnered with 12 local and international education and training providers, and enrolled over 500 Malaysians to take part in its programmes.
 
“Our mission is to help Malaysians find the right training to help them achieve their career goals,” says Lautaro Fernandez, General Manager at JobStreet Education. “We do this seeking to understand the needs of our clients through a consultation service. We then make relevant and practical course recommendations according to their career plans.
 
“In our experience, the Malaysian workforce is motivated to embark on education and upskilling programmes. They see the importance of taking control of their careers and investing in professional development,” he added.
 
JobStreet Education achieved a milestone last March when they obtained a certification as an HRDF trainer. This certification enables employers who are registered with HRDF to apply for training grants for any programme offered by JobStreet Education. The online education portal currently offers qualifications in information technology, project management, business, supply chain planning, education, hospitality, and marketing.
 
When asked about its plans for the future, Fernandez says, “We see JobStreet Education playing an increasingly important role in providing courses across more industries and giving Malaysians the best education choices and career advice possible.”
 
In conjunction with its first anniversary celebrations, JobStreet Education has teamed up with Successful Graduate Pty Ltd to offer 100 free Successful Graduate courses with selected enrolments. The course is targeted at fresh graduates and young employees who want to maximise their chances of landing their job of choice.
