SIEMENS BRINGS JOY TO KIDS WITH THE LAUNCH OF ITS "MY TRAIN-VENTURES" CHILDREN'S ACTIVITY BOOK, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE KVMRT SUNGAI BULOH-KAJANG PHASE 2 OPENING

Monday 24/07/2017

KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 (Bernama) --  Siemens Malaysia held the official launch of its “My Train-Ventures” children’s activity book last Saturday at NU Sentral, Brickfields to demonstrate its crucial role in nation-building by raising awareness and understanding of public transportation to Malaysian children through their corporate citizenship initiative. The launch, which attracted over 150 people, was officiated by Prakash Chandran, President & CEO of Siemens Malaysia, accompanied by Ben Chong, Head of Business Development of Siemens Malaysia.

The unprecedented event by Siemens Malaysia commenced with a flash mob sequence, to the iconic tune of ‘Locomotion’ popularized by Kylie Minogue, presented by the employees of Siemens Malaysia at the main concourse area of NU Sental, Brickfields.

In its bid to give back to the society, Siemens Malaysia had organized an array of exciting activities for the children at the launch such as colouring activities, Suduko challenges and a specially-crafted “Build Your Own Train” competition. Meanwhile, balloon twisters entertained the crowd by twisting balloons into shapes of their favourite animals.

Siemens Malaysia also distributed 100 copies of the “My Train-Ventures” to the attendees of the event.

The Siemens “My Train-Ventures” children’s activity book series is made for three different age groups and it comes with striking illustrations and entertaining storylines that promises a unique learning experience. It blends imaginative adventures with elements of fun that makes reading all that more refreshing for children.

The book launch event was held in conjunction with the opening of Sungai Buloh-Kajang MRT Phase 2 which was officiated by the Honourable Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak on July 17.

Prakash Chandran, President & CEO of Siemens Malaysia, said, “We are thankful and pleased to have supplied all 58 sets of these automated trains, and for which they are delivered ahead of time together with the rolling stock system. When the Prime Minister launched the entire line earlier this week, it capped another milestone achievement for us to see people being able to commute via a modern transportation that is fast, reliable, efficient and comfortable for them.

“During the Phase 1 opening of this line last December, several on-site activities were organized. For Phase 2 this time around, we decided to do something a bit different in spreading awareness about modern public transportation, hence the production of this “My Train-Ventures” children’s activity book as the main theme,” said Prakash.

Siemens Malaysia also announced during the event that it will be making a bid for the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High Speed Rail (HSR) project that it believes will be the new driver of growth connecting the 2 countries and bring about a huge development potential by effecting change in the landscape of travel.
