Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) and Plattform Industrie 4.0 are presenting an
IIoT World Tour in Singapore to accelerate the digitalization of industrial production. The two organizations have partnered with the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (
A*STAR) to co-host the full-day event in conjunction with
A*STAR’s Future of Manufacturing Initiative. For this Singapore event, 280 people are expected to attend. In addition, the
Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce serves as a further local partner for the event.
“IIoT technologies will dramatically improve productivity and efficiencies throughout the entire manufacturing supply chain, which will in turn, help strengthen the global economy,” said Dr. Richard Soley, Executive Director, IIC. “The IIoT World Tour program leverages the cross-industry knowledge of the IIC and the manufacturing expertise of Plattform Industrie 4.0 to help advance the digitalization of industrial systems.”

In the morning, an executive panel will give their views on the direction for IIoT, which includes speakers from A*STAR and Rohde & Schwarz. This is followed by briefing sessions with top-level experts from industry on architecture, security, standardization, interoperability, and testbeds.
The next IIoT World Tour will be held on December 8, 2017 in San Francisco, California.
