HYLAND GROWS HEALTHCARE BUSINESS IN SINGAPORE WITH RECENT CUSTOMER WINS

SYDNEY, Jan. 16, 2018 /Medianet International-AsiaNet/--

Hyland (https://www.hyland.com/) recently named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Content Services Platforms, has announced significant growth in the healthcare sector in Singapore, as local facilities respond to a call from Health Minister Gan Kim Yong to speed up the digitisation process in an effort to improve national healthcare services.

Hyland's OnBase software has been deployed by two significant healthcare providers in Singapore over recent months, who cannot be named for privacy reasons, as the facilities have moved to digitise their patient records and administration.

"With records stored in a wide variety of formats across many different departments, digitisation is far from an easy task. However, the goal of making a single, digital patient record available to clinicians, administrative staff and other stakeholders within the healthcare system is a very worthy one. Reducing the amount of time spent searching for records allows for more of it to be spent on higher value tasks such as admitting patients, checking their history, making critical decisions about their health and treatment, which has a direct impact on the patient experience," said Eugene Chng, Director Asia-Pacific at Hyland.

OnBase by Hyland is an enterprise content management (ECM) solution that is now providing fast, safe and secure delivery of files to approved stakeholders across both healthcare facilities that have deployed the software in recent months, as well as a number of existing healthcare accounts across Singapore who have increased their ECM services in 2017.

Integrating the ECM solution with existing systems and drawing from existing digital resources already in place across the organisation provides authorised users instant access to the information they need when and where they need it from within the systems they already use every day. Rather than spending time searching for patient information across multiple systems, clinicians have a 360-degree view of patients' records, which improves decision-making and speeds up the patient journey.

OnBase by Hyland captures, processes, integrates, measures, and indexes content from all necessary sources, storing it all in a single, centralised, secure system. All approved staff, from administration through to pharmaceuticals and clinicians, may quickly and efficiently search for and access this data from within the systems they use every day - improving productivity and performance within the facility while making processes easier to manage.

"OnBase operates in such a way that the facility's existing healthcare systems are not interrupted, and staff do not have to learn new solutions. Accessing files in OnBase is subject to the same security controls as all other parts of a modern, secure facility," said Chng. "The growth we have experienced in 2017 demonstrates that the government's call to speed up the digitisation of patient records has been heeded, and healthcare facilities are looking to improve processes across the board by moving to digitised solutions."
