THE TEAM OF CHINA - DONGFENG RACE TEAM WINS AT THE VICTORIA HARBOR IN THE VOLVO OCEAN RACE 2017-18

Leg 4 of the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-18 from Melbourne to Hong Kong has finished, seven teams arrived in Hong Kong, China. The Team of China - Dongfeng Race Team finally took the second in the fierce competition, becoming the only team to be awarded for four consecutive times up to date. In Hong Kong, Dongfeng Race Team even won the Grand Champion of the in-port race.
January 28, after the in-port race completed, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, Mrs. Carrie Lam, came to visit the Dongfeng Pavilion at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, to exchange views with the leaders of Dongfeng Motor Corporation and the crew of Dongfeng race team. She wished that Dongfeng race team - the Team of China with the largest number of Chinese crew on board, could win for the nation. Meanwhile, she also expressed appreciation to Dongfeng Motor Corporation for its efforts of fostering the world class off-shore sailing talents for China through this race.
During their stay in Hong Kong, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, as the sponsor of Dongfeng Race Team, held a series of exchange activities with the local business celebrities, its strategic partners, dealers and media friends from Hong Kong and Southeast Asia.
As a stopover of the Volvo Ocean Race 2017-18, Hong Kong is an important market for Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles. In 2017, sales of Dongfeng Commercial Vehicles in Hong Kong saw an increase of 45% over the same period of last year. The market share reached 10%.
