KUALA LUMPUR, April 26 (Bernama) -- We are very pleased to announce yesterday our zero-fee interbank fund transfers via CIMB Clicks, and our mobile banking apps, Clicks and EVA. 

CIMB Bank’s digital transactions have grown by a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of close to 40%, and mobile transactions by a CAGR of 90% in the last 3 years, since we started our Digital Banking programme under T18.

We want to encourage more of our customers to switch to electronic payments, as this is not only time-efficient, but now also even more cost-efficient than before - no time wasted, no parking fees to go to branches or ATMs.

CIMB has taken this initiative to also support BNM’s cashless society agenda, and to further develop Malaysia’s e-payments ecosystem. CIMB Clicks processed 155 million transactions in 2017. Alongside the marked increase in digital transactions for the Bank, CIMB has also seen the usage of cheques drop by 17.5% year- on-year for 2017.

Our newly revamped CIMB Clicks is a complete overhaul, where we have upgraded the entire system to improve security performance, reliability and to make the system more modular and scalable. Customers now enjoy a seamless experience across mobile, tablet or desktop. Since the new Clicks was launched on 17 March 2018, 2.9 million customers have used the new platform.
