Mesiniaga SOC is an in-country managed security operation center that allows customers to have a peace of mind as the SOC team aims to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents using a combination of technology solutions, automated algorithms, threats intelligence and a strong set of operating processes. The SOC is staffed with security analysts, engineers and consultants as well as managers who oversee security operations to ensure security issues are addressed quickly upon discovery. They monitor and analyze activity on networks, servers, endpoints, databases, applications, websites, and other systems, looking for unusual activities that could be indicative of a security incident or compromise.
 
Mesiniaga SOC has been keeping up with the latest threat intelligence and leverages on this information to improve internal detection and defense mechanisms. The SOC consumes data from within the organization and correlates it with information from a number of external sources that deliver insight into threats and vulnerabilities. This external cyber intelligence includes news feeds, signature updates, incident reports, threat briefs, and vulnerability alerts that aid the SOC to correlate with evolving cyber threats. Threat intelligence databases are constantly being fed into the security incident event management (SIEM) platform to keep up-to-date with threats, while the SOC team has well defined processes in place to discriminate between real threats and non-threats. An ISMS is a framework of policies and procedures that includes all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organization’s information risk management processes. ISO 27001 was developed to provide a model for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving an information security management system with a well-defined specification.
 
The specification includes well defined details for documentation, management responsibility, internal audits, continual improvement, and corrective and preventive action. The standard requires cooperation among all sections of an organization.
