Development and Capacity Building in Islamic Finance in Malaysia 
 
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 7 (Bernama) -- AAOIFI, Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions (Bahrain), and SALIHIN Shariah Advisory (Kuala Lumpur) signed a collaboration agreement in the area of Islamic finance education.
 
By virtue of this collaboration, SALIHIN Shariah Advisory becomes an Education Partner of AAOIFI in Malaysia. The objective of the collaboration is to promote the professional fellowship programmes of AAOIFI in Malaysia. These include Certified Islamic Professional Accountant (CIPA) qualification and the Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor (CSAA) qualification respectively.
 
In this regard, Mr. Omar Mustafa Ansari, AAOIFI, Acting Secretary General, thanked SALIHIN Shariah Advisory for their support and collaboration with AAOIFI for the promotion of the professional programs.
 
He also stated: “We are glad to have signed this agreement with SALIHIN Advisory which will hopefully help further develop the human capital of the industry and provide individuals with the requisite technical skills, particularly in Islamic accountancy through the CIPA fellowship program.”
 
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahcene Lahsasna, CEO, SALIHIN Shariah Advisory believes that the collaboration will contribute significantly to the enhancement of the quality of Islamic finance education in Malaysia.
 
He said, “The AAOIFI professional qualifications’ scope covers Islamic accounting, Shariah auditing and Shariah advisory. These professional certificates will complement the existing professional programmes and certificates offered in Malaysia.
