NanoMalaysia Berhad’s Chief Executive Officer Dr Rezal Khairy Ahmad said that the NanoMalaysia Pavilion at nano tech 2019 is an incredible plaform for industry partners to introduce their nanotechnology products to the global market which is an important step in the commercialisation.

“Commercialisation of nanotechnology is not only about the agency support, investment and facilities access but also the introduction, promotion, marketing and eventually sale of products and services. Once the products are successfull commercialised there will be succes stories to inspire more adoption of nanotechnology in high-value products leading to more Malaysian companies to produce and manufacture them.”

nano tech 2019 also saw MOUs signed between NanoMalaysia and NanoNextNL from The Netherlands as well as between NanoMalaysia and NanoCanada. These MoUs establish two international business and joint-development platforms for Nanotechnology companies from the Netherlands, Canada and Malaysia to access European and North American markets respectively.

nano tech 2019, the International Nanotechnology Exhibition & Conference, highlights the cutting-edge technologies and materials to make super smart society a reality. This year marks the 18th edition of nano tech, the world’s premier nanotechnology exhibition. Five hundred organisations from 21 countries and regions are exhibiting this year, in 500 booth spaces, and 30 of those organizations are doing so for the first time. Including nano tech’s co- located exhibitions, over 50,000 visitors are expected to attend the event over these three days. Exhibitors span such diverse fields as Materials, IT & Electronics, Nano Bio, Automobiles, Environment & Energy, Life Sciences, Biomimetics, Robotics, Simulation Software, Wearables, Aerospace, Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Advanced Sensors; this diversity is one of the event’s greatest strengths in promoting cross-field collaboration and groundbreaking new technological developments in a range of industries.

NanoMalaysia through iNanovation and NGAP 2020 prioritises the commercialisation of endogenous nanotechnology innovations. It is also amenable to collaborations in the form of technology transfer, joint ventures and co-investments, and as such the forum is the appropriate platform to explore such ventures.
