KUALA LUMPUR, April 12 (Bernama) -- TerraLex delegates from over 70 locations around the world gathered in Kuala Lumpur for the organization’s annual Spring Global Meeting. Hosted by Malaysian law firm, Azmi & Associates, Delegates were afforded the opportunity to discuss a wide variety of legal and economic issues impacting Malaysia.
 
Azmi & Associates also invited local clients to hear from TerraLex network firms on cutting-edge topics related to doing business globally. The focus was on new trends and recent business developments impacting the region. Speaker of the House of Representatives, Parliament of Malaysia, Datuk Ariff Yusof, officiated the program.
 
“Through hosting the TerraLex Global Meeting in Kuala Lumpur our delegates from across the world witnessed firsthand how Malaysia is moving towards creating a more diverse economy, encouraging foreign inward and outward investments, creating an entrepreneurial nation, and seeking to strengthen the nation’s economic growth by enhancing productivity and increasing competitiveness of the industries,” said TerraLex Chair, Tim Brown. 
 
The result was a groundbreaking meeting focused on firms building business together and collaborating to find solutions for those challenges discussed.
 
According Terri Pepper Gavulic, TerraLex’s Executive Director, Malaysia was selected as the meeting location because of it’s growing prominence as a leading economic and cultural center for Asia. Through this meeting, TerraLex is recognizing the importance of Southeast Asia and the Asia-Pacific region, where there are more than 2,000 lawyers who are part of the TerraLex network (and more than 19,000 lawyers worldwide).
