  POTBOY FIRST LAUNCH OF DROP ZONE AT PRIMA AVENUE, CYBERJAYA

Witnessing the Launch of Potboy Drop Zone at Prima Avenue was representative Dengkil state assemblyman Adhif Syan Bin Abdullah, CM Chong, CEO Prima Avenue, Wee Li Ying, Coca-Cola Head of Key Account and Digital, and Unicharm General Sales Manager Beh Kok Seong.



CYBERJAYA, May 21 (Bernama) -- Potboy Groceries, a homegrown online groceries platform, once again had brought an online to offline (O2O) grocery shopping for Malaysian consumer to experience and this time it called “Potboy Raya O2O” event. Alongside the Raya O2O event, Potboy Groceries has launched its first drop zone in Cyberjaya witnessing by representative Dengkil state assemblyman Adhif Syan Bin Abdullah, CM Chong, CEO Prima Avenue, Wee Li Ying, Coca-Cola Head of Key Account and Digital, and Unicharm General Sales Manager Beh Kok Seong on 18 May 2019.
 
PB Grocery Group Sdn Bhd chief executive officer and founder, Eddie Chew, said: “PB Grocery Group Sdn Bdn (Potboy Groceries) is taking the opportunity of this O2O event to educate the public on cashless transaction and e-payment as an alternative shopping method to Malaysian Consumers. Further, the drop zone concept in Cyberjaya is to further provide an option to busy working adults to have a safe delivery harbor and pick up at convenience within the neighbourhood. Currently, we have 5 drop zone for customers to come and pick up their purchase item. Prima Avenue supports our idea to open up new drop zone in their area. This will definitely help us to expand our market and attract greater crowd for the event. “
 
The Raya O2O event was Cashless and Stockless shopping enabling offline consumers to experience convenient shopping in preparation for upcoming Hari Raya. For the Cyberjaya folks, this will further be enhanced with the launched of Potboy First Drop Zone in a residential property with Prima Avenue and Suntrack. In this event, purchases were made after physically experiencing the products without the hassle of purchasing bulk products and carrying it to the vehicle or back home. Potboy offers free delivery with no minimum order to doorstep.
 
“We also want this event to serve as an educational platform to public on cashless transaction and e-payment as an alternative shopping method and at the same time, give them the convenience of shopping. The event is organised in partnership with Touch N Go, the eWallet app, with the hope that it would boost cashless transactions among Malaysians. “he explained.
 
More than forty famous brands, such as Coca-Cola, Nestle, Yeo’s, Adabi, Whiskas, Brand’s, Jasmine, MamyPoko, PETPET, Origina, CATZ-KAT, Super, D’Rembau Fresh, Ki.ta, ST Corp, Bestari and other household brands participated, discount up to 75 per cent was offered. Following the event, there was a series of activities were held. Cooking demo of Hari Raya dishes from Chef Bob and street musician performance were among the activities.
 
The event had taken place at Prima 11, Prima Avenue, Cyberjaya Carpark Area Tent for three days starting May 17. from 12pm to 2am (May 17, 2019), 5pm to 2am (May 18, 2019) and from 3pm to 12am May 19, 2019). In conjunction with Hari Raya festival, this event had brought together an even larger group of suppliers and brand owners with offerings designed to cater for the all the Hari Raya shopping needs.  A crowd of about 60,000 peoples were expected to attend and generate RM2 million in sales. Last but not least, 500 goodies bag had been given away for the early birds daily.
