KUALA LUMPUR, May 23 (Bernama) -- AmMetLife Insurance Berhad (“AmMetLife”) recently launched ProtectPlus, a new protection solution that offers a guaranteed cash payment* and a choice of plans, to suit the needs and preferences of customers in different stages of life.

Ramzi Toubassy, Chief Executive Officer, AmMetLife Insurance Berhad launched the new product to AmMetLife agents and Senior Management at the agency annual awards presentation ceremony in Sunway. Also present at the launch were Marwan Matar, Vice President, Head of Agency, MetLife Asia and Rabih Haber, Senior Vice President, Head of Human Resources, MetLife Asia and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

ProtectPlus offers a choice of six plans where the basic sum assured and premium amount is fixed throughout the policy term. According to Ramzi Toubassy, CEO, AmMetLife, “We want to offer Malaysians an affordable plan that provides adequate coverage. With today’s rising cost of living, what was sufficient ten years ago may no longer be enough today. With ProtectPlus, customers have the option to choose the preferred monthly premium payment, starting from as low as RM150 for a basic sum assured of RM150, 000.”

Another salient feature of this plan is the yearly guaranteed cash payment up to 55% of basic annual premium starting from the end of the fourth policy year, until the policy expires. “Unlike most term plans in the market, ProtectPlus is unique as it offers a guaranteed cash payment to eligible policy owners. In addition, this plan is designed to be simple and easy to understand. As a customer, you will only have to pay a fixed premium and in return receive yearly cash payments as you stay protected,” said Ramzi.

With ProtectPlus, 100% of basic sum assured is payable in the event of Death or Total and Permanent Disability of the Life Assured. Apart from this, an additional coverage will be provided on top of the Death Benefit, if the death of the Life Assured happens due to accidental causes. Individuals aged from 30 days to 45 years (next birthday) are eligible for this plan.
