KUALA LUMPUR, May 27 (Bernama) -- Islamic Banking and Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM), a lifelong talent development institution has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Arshad Ayub Graduate Business School (AAGBS), Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).
 
Under the agreement, AAGBS will become IBFIM’s academic partner and will integrate IBFIM’s Associate Qualification in Islamic Finance (AQIF) programme in its Master of Islamic Banking and Finance (MIBF).
 
Dean of AAGBS, Prof. Dr. Nor’Azam Mastuki said: “Equipped with AQIF, MIBF graduates from AAGBS would have enhanced competencies, skills and knowledge in Islamic Finance. This would prepare them for a promising career in Islamic Finance and create a path for them to obtain higher qualifications such as the Certified Qualification in Islamic Finance (CQIF).”
 
IBFIM Chief Executive Officer, Yusry Yusoff said, “We look forward in developing the next generation of Islamic Finance professionals. We believe this collaboration would create a pool market ready talent that could make a different for the industry. IBFIM is excited to be a part of this journey with AAGBS”.
 
Currently IBFIM has collaborated with more than 20 academic institutions including international universities. 600 students have graduated with IBFIM’s industry certification through this collaborations.
