SERENDAH, May 31 (Bernama) -- UMW Development Sdn. Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the UMW Group, today welcomed Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Berhad as the newest resident at its flagship High Value Manufacturing (HVM) Park, located in Serendah, Selangor.
 
UMW’s pioneering industrial park is designed to be the centrepiece of Malaysia’s rapidly evolving high value manufacturing industry.  The 861-acre site offers the latest in Industry 4.0 enabled innovation and advanced manufacturing infrastructure.
 
Multi-Code Electronics Industries (M) Berhad is an investment holding and manufacturing company which designs, manufactures and supplies automotive electronics and mechatronics parts, and is one of Malaysia’s leading OEM suppliers in the automotive industry.
 
The addition of Multi-Code Electronics Industries also highlights the growing number of advanced manufacturing companies setting up in UMW High Value Manufacturing Park, home to UMW Aerospace – Malaysia’s first Tier 1 fan case supplier to Rolls-Royce and T7 Kilgour metal treatment plant.
 
The agreement between UMW Development and Multi-Code Electronics Industries represents an intention to develop 8.25 acres of land in UMW’s High Value Manufacturing Park as part of Phase 1 development.

The signing of this agreement represents an important addition to UMW Development’s High Value Manufacturing Park, a purpose-built industrial facility designed to act as a catalyst for growth in high value manufacturing in Malaysia. Multi-Code Electronics Industries demonstrates the continuing evolution of UMW HVM Park’s emerging ecosystem, which is uniquely designed to attract and support targeted technologies such as automation, advanced materials, advance metal forming, and others which cut across industries such as aerospace, medical, automotive, rail, logistics and other innovative advanced manufacturing businesses.
